Candidacy is decided by a licensed provider after symptoms, history, and a 64-marker panel with safety labs. Testosterone is generally not appropriate with elevated hematocrit, a prostate nodule or PSA above guideline thresholds without urology review, untreated severe sleep apnea, uncontrolled heart failure, a heart attack or stroke within 6 months, thrombophilia, or near-term plans to conceive.
You start with the $49 intake, which includes the Complete Panel and a clearance visit. Once results are back, your provider reviews them and recommends whether testosterone therapy, another option, or no prescription is appropriate. If you already have recent labs, the transfer-in visit is $39.
Your prescription medication, injection supplies when needed, provider access for questions and dose adjustments, and routine monitoring labs are included. Your clinician sets the monitoring cadence based on your protocol and safety needs.
Therapy has a three-month minimum so your provider can evaluate response and adjust safely. After month three, you can cancel anytime.
Reported effects include acne, fluid retention, mood or sleep changes, and erythrocytosis (elevated red blood cell count). Hematocrit is monitored at baseline, 3-6 months, then annually; therapy is generally not started above 50% and is paused or adjusted above 54%. Testosterone can also reduce sperm production. Your provider reviews prostate and cardiovascular history before and during therapy.
Testosterone therapy suppresses the body's own testosterone and sperm production, and guidelines recommend against starting it in men who are trying to conceive in the near term. If fertility matters to you, tell your provider at intake so they can discuss alternatives such as enclomiphene.
