Tirzepatide acts on GIP and GLP-1 receptors involved in appetite regulation. Your clinician considers your medical history, current medicines and treatment goals when deciding whether to prescribe it. Treatment is considered alongside nutrition and physical activity.
Compounded tirzepatide is supplied in a vial for injection under the skin. Available formulations include vitamin B6 or vitamin B12. Your prescription identifies the exact ingredients and concentration. Follow the instructions for your specific vial; syringe units can change between concentrations.
